In late 2023, Dizengoff Square in Tel Aviv became an unplanned memorial. Flowers, stickers, photos, candles—even teddy bears—appeared overnight. Each item placed in grief, in hope, in memory.
I painted this to capture how a city mourns together. At sunset, the square was full of golden light and quiet sorrow. Ordinary spaces can become sacred when filled with love—and Tel Aviv’s heart showed up in full.
