East Melbourne Synagogue Solidarity Prints
Jewish Art That Remembers.
This past Shabbat, the East Melbourne Synagogue was firebombed.
For me, it wasn’t just another headline. I lived in Melbourne for 32 years, and this was the first synagogue I ever walked into as an adult. The community welcomed me with open arms. Rabbi Dovid Gutnick was one of the first people to really believe in my work as a Jewish artist from Australia. He helped make my last exhibition in Melbourne happen, right there at this historic shul.
When I heard the news, I felt gut-punched. And I knew I needed to paint something.
This oil study is what came out of that feeling. A visual response to antisemitism in Australia, grief, memory, and resilience.
To help support the synagogue and the community that shaped me, I’m offering this painting in three versions — all available globally, with 50% of profits going directly to the East Melbourne Synagogue.

Why This Matters
The attack on East Melbourne Synagogue is not just a local tragedy. It reflects the alarming rise in antisemitism in Australia and around the world. For Jewish communities everywhere, these acts aren’t just vandalism—they’re attempts to erase memory, identity, and presence.
As a Jewish artist from Melbourne, this painting is my response. A way of saying: we’re still here. We still remember. We still create, build, and believe in the future.
