I met Yaacov by chance at a music festival during my first time in Israel. I was interested in finding a soldier to create a portrait with as serving in a military was something that was completely outside of my own experiences. In my initial conversations with Yaacov I was immediately struck by his soft spoken and mature nature, his care and sense of duty. It really moved me to see someone so young, take on such a big responsibility.
